Mohammad was appointed as the Chairman of the board of directors of Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) in 2005, and he remained in this post until the year 2012. Etisalat is one of the biggest companies in the world, and it features in Financial Times’ list of the 500 biggest companies globally. Etisalat is ranked 17 internationally in the telecom sector based on market value that is estimated at USD 25 billion.
He was named as one of the 100 most powerful Arab people in the world by the Arabian Business magazine in the year 2010, and he is the only Arab person in the telecommunications field to maintain his presence on the list of 2010. The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority awarded him the Chief International Officer prize for the year 2011, acknowledging him as the best international leader in the telecommunications sector.
Mohammad Omran joined Etisalat in the year 1977, one year after it was established. In 1982, he served as the Director of Ras Al-Khaimah region, and in 1984, he was appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Etisalat. In the year 2004, he was appointed as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
From 1977 and until 2012, Mohammad Omran also served as the Chairman of the board of directors of Thuraya, which is a leading mobile satellite communications company, covering nearly two thirds of the earth.
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the president of the UAE, may God bless him, issued a decree on 15/4/2013 to appoint Mr. Mohammad Omran Al-Shamsi as the Chairman of the Higher Colleges of Technology in the rank of a minister.
He holds an Engineering Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication from Cairo University, Egypt, earned in 1977.
Al Za’abi is a member of the Federal National Council, and has extensive experience in the business management field and real estate and banking sectors. He has been a member of the board of directors of various companies in the UAE. Al Za’abi holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Business Management from St. Jose in California, United States of America, 1987.

Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi has 35 years’ experience in the field of management. He spent 26 years working for the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat), during which he held several leading positions, including General Manager of Etisalat Ras Al-Khaimah and the Chairman of the board of directors of Etisalat Zanzibar “Zantel”. He led a team that managed to win a license for Etisalat to operate in Sudan (Sodetel). He also served as a board member of Arab Satellite Organization (ARABSAT) for 15 years, and he was the representative of the UAE in the Arab League Permanent Committee for Telecommunications in Cairo, in addition to many other positions. He graduated from the British Royal University.
Sheikh Tariq Ahmed Humaid Al Qassimi has vast experience in the banking and management fields. He holds a bachelor's degree in management from San Francisco University in the United States of America.
Sheikh Ahmed Omar Al Qassimi has six years’ experience in managing a high profile group company and he currently serves as the Director of OMEST Group. One of his roles as Director is to create a long-term strategy to attract industrial investment. Sheikh Al Qassimi has held various leadership positions, including the Business Development Manager of OMEST Group from 2011 to 2013. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (General Management) from the Canadian University of Dubai and a Bachelor's Degree in e-Business Management.
Ruqait has wide experience in the field of trade business projects. He is also a former member of the Federal National Council. Currently, he holds several leading positions, and he serves as the Chairman of the board of directors of Al-Ali Construction and Development Company. Ruqait graduated from the British Royal Naval College.
Jamel has 24 years’ experience in the banking business and management. He is currently the Director of the Northern Emirates department in the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. He holds a Bachelor's degree in management (accounting) from Beirut University.
Dr. Al Mehrezi currently serves as the Director General of the Customs and Ports department in Ras Al-Khaimah.He holds a PhD in Public Administration- emphasis added taxes- from the University of Canberra in Australia and a Master's degree in literature from the University of Westminster in UAE.
Dr. Al Sheriani currently serves as the Chairman of Archon Engineering, Architects, and Planners firm. He is a member of the World Organization of Building Officials (WOBO), a United Nations organization. He is also an engineering expert in the Ministry of Justice in the UAE.
Dr. Mustafa Ali Al Sheriani has held several leading positions, including the Director of Sharjah Emirates City Planning Department from 1984 until 2004 and the Chairman of Archon Planners and Architects since 1992. He is also a lecturer at the American University in Sharjah for master’s degree graduates at Architecture and Design School.
He holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Ulster in the United Kingdom and a Master's degree in Planning from the University of Southern California in the United States of America.
